Clinical Director of Emergency Services

Position Information The Clinical Director will be responsible for the 20-bed adult and pediatric emergency department with an annual volume of over 40,000 cases, and approximately 50 FTEs. Qualified candidates will be bachelor’s prepared leaders with previous emergency management experience.  Master’s preferred.  Someone who can act as a change agent and provide consistency and strength to the department will be most successful. Ideally, candidates will be leaders with a passion for service, quality, and patient safety.  Hospital Information This 113-bed, Joint Commission accredited facility has been serving the community for over 40 years and offers services including surgical and rehabilitation services, occupational and physical therapy, a cardiac cath lab, as well as ICU. The medical center is dedicated to creating a healthy community and offers a variety of classes and workshops.  Additionally, the facility collaborates with local schools and university systems to promote higher education and development in the healthcare field. This hospital is a member of the Adventist Health System which operates 37 hospitals across the United States, serves close to 4 million patients per year, and is the largest not-for-profit system in the country.  Community Information This thriving community is conveniently located between San Antonio and Austin, but manages to maintain a life style far from that of a big city.  With a population of approximately 50,000 the town has a small town charm residents enjoy.  As the beautiful gateway to the Texas Hill Country, the community has great shopping, provides a playground for outdoor activities, has outstanding shopping and dining options, and offers peace and tranquility to residents and visitors to enjoy.  The city is also home to a campus of Texas State University and is the only Texas University to have graduated a U.S. President.
