Aurora Imaging Technology, Inc. is the developer and manufacturer of the Aurora Dedicated Breast MRI System, the first FDA-cleared MRI system designed specifically to image breasts to detect and diagnose breast cancer that is now commercially available in the United States for clinical application.

POSITION OVERVIEWThe Clinical Administrator manages and oversees the business operations of the Orange County, California Aurora Breast Imaging Clinics. 

 

JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIESThe Clinical Administrator is responsible for the overall day to day operations management of the clinics to ensure that all services are delivered consistently, efficiently and in accordance with company policy.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

Operations

  Manages and supervises clinical and administrative staff. Ensures that all government, HIPAA and other accreditation body compliance regulations are met. Certifies that all patient scheduling, insurance verification, billing, and purchasing is handled proficiently. Plans and implements process improvements to maximize patient care and efficiency. Works in collaboration with the Corporate Office in the development and expansion of the Centers.

 

Marketing

  Establishes relationships with referring physicians/practices, Provides educational meetings, coordinates site visits, and cultivates relationships with local community organizations. Serves as the liaison between the Centers and the Corporate Office to promote Aurora Imaging Technology via site visits and other educational meetings/conferences.  Works with Corporate Marketing to develop marketing strategies to promote the Aurora Centers

 

Financial

  Analyzes clinical and administrative trends in healthcare, the impact on the practice and implements appropriate changes.  Ensures that all accreditation and compliance requirements are fulfilled for reimbursement from patients and insurance carriers. Works closely with the VP of Finance to monitor and track changes in revenue reimbursement as it pertains to the Centers.  Keeps informed of policy changes.

 

Liaison

  Works closely with the Breast Imaging Physician in the daily operations for maximum standard of patient care and efficiency of the operations.  Serves as the liaison between Aurora Imaging Technology and the Breast Imaging Physician. Develops relationships with and markets services to the referring physician community providing technical information and coordinating with physicians and technologist to set up physician education meetings.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science degree in Business or Healthcare Minimum of 5 years experience in clinical administration MRI experience preferred Excellent communication and relationship building skills Prior experience working within the medical and physician community
