Execution and coordination of changes to all related hospital systems and dictionaries impacted by assigned charge processing projects. 2. Work with cost centers; Health Information Management, Budget & Financial Planning, Patient Financial Services operations, Information Systems and Ambulatory Education to integrate CDM related functions. 3. Track and monitor the status of CDM projects. 4. Ensure that additions and changes to the CDM are processed in and communicated in a timely manner. 5. Work with Patient Financial Services to ensure that denials related to the CDM are addressed timely and correctly. 6. Routinely review reports to identify unnecessary utilization of miscellaneous charge codes. 7. Perform annual maintenance based on the addition and deletion of new CPT/HCPCS codes. Identify and communicate with impacted cost centers. 8. Execute post-implementation audits to confirm that change to CDM was met appropriately. 9. Perform routine analyses of revenue generation to measure impact of change. 10. Serve as a contributing member of the Finance team on various hospital committees. Requirements: Qualifications 1. Verbal, quantitative and interpersonal skills normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree and related work experience of at least two years. 2. Ability to develop a working knowledge of ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS coding schematics, hospital operations and information systems. 3. Basic systems flow understanding 4. Database management and other PC skills 5. Ability to integrate several related considerations when evaluating complex charging issues. 6. Ability to develop and maintain mutually cooperative relationships at all levels to ensure attainment of goals and objectives. 7. Innovative in problem resolution. 8. Excellent communication, presentation and technical skills. 9. Decision-making guided by precedents and objectives. 10. Within area of expertise, works with customers to solve problems, maintain key relationships or deal with sensitive issues.
