Chargemaster Analyst

 

With  openings in San Bernardino County, Orange County, San Diego County, and Los Angeles County. 

 

Responsibilities include CDM Maintenance, ensuring that all data elements are accurate and comply with payers (including Medicare) requirements. The Analyst will act as a liaison for the business, compliance, IT and the revenue producing departments.

 

Performs audits of medical records against the itemized bill and also performs special audit requests. Coordinates and reports audit outcome regarding charge errors, percentage of savings or losses for the facility, data processing errors, the performance of the hospital charging system, as well as documentation and justification within the medical record and itemized bill.
 
Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills- Proficient in chart review, clinical record information systems and coding methodologies. Ability to understand hospital bills and the charge master technology. Ability to understand and communicate effectively with all ancillary departments within the Prime Family. Ability to understand terms and payment methodologies, and Must be team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.

 

Requirements

Needs experience with hospital billing and/or coding.  Prior experience working with Chargemaster in a Hospital setting is preferred.  Must be computer savvy with knowledge of Excel and Access.
