Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for basic care services such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and checking patient vital signs Providing patients with social/emotional support and reporting pertinent information on patient’s condition to nurses Assists patients in range of motion exercises, transferring, walking and positioning Ability to follow written Nursing Care Plan Act as an escort for clients to doctor appointments, shopping, and other outside activities Provides patient laundry and linen changes Light housekeeping Provides medication reminders Meal preparation and clean up REQUIREMENTS: Recent 1+ year experience in a clinical setting and/or 1+ year experience in home care State CNA or HHA certification required Ability to speak, read, and write English Willingness and ability to travel on a daily basis through the entire service area within Manhattan Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check, drug screening and background check.  BEHAVIORAL SKILLS: Must be able to demonstrate respect for individuals with diverse cultures and religious beliefs.
