CareMax Medical Resources provides a full range of home respiratory therapy, home medical equipment, home infusion therapy, and pharmacy services to meet our client's needs. Ensuring the highest degree of comfort and independence, our multi disciplinary team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Dieticians, and Case Managers work with a patient’s prescribing physician and family members to establish and maintain an optimal course of treatment.
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative for the Houston area.
Position Summary:
Coordinates all incoming referrals and communicates with all departments including nursing agencies, referral sources and patients to coordinate care.
Manage the reorder needs and recurring equipment rental needs of patients by calling patients to verify continuing equipment needs, generating the appropriate delivery ticket, coordinating any delivery needs with the warehouse staff and confirming the orders in the system after delivery.
Manage time effectively and efficiently through the use of computers and other technologies in order to fulfill job responsibilities.
Obtains the appropriate physician orders, authorizations and/or CMN necessary to provide the therapy from Central Intake or referral source.
Verifies insurance and notifies patient of any co-pay due.
After completion of setup by clinical staff, collects and forwards all necessary paperwork to corporate for billing purposes.
Calls all patients as scheduled to verify reorder needs.
Communicates any changes to the appropriate department.
Obtains re-authorization if needed prior to sending out any patient orders.
Generates delivery tickets and distributes to appropriate department in a timely manner.
Generates all pick up tickets in the computer system when equipment is no longer needed.
Uses time management skills to manage daily workload so that the needs of patients are met.
Manages the reorder needs of patients in an efficient and time sensitive manner.
Position Requirements:
Minimum:
Excellent Medical Terminology skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent phone skills. Experience in healthcare insurance reimbursement issues and Medicare guidelines. One to two years’ experience in home infusion. High school diploma with one-year post high school education. Ability to handle stress on the job. Ability to travel to the job site. Prior experience working in an infusion pharmacy or home medical equipment company.
