Care Management Nurse Supervisor (Medicaid) Job Description         -Provides day-to-day oversight of operational components for CM/DM program and provides leadership to staff -Hires, trains, evaluates staff and prepares timely employee performance evaluations -Supervises, advises and facilitates the on-going development and education of the Case Management staff -Assists the Manager in development of programs and implementing procedures, as necessary -To assure compliance with state and federal regulatory review of Case Management statutes and policies -Responsible for new employee orientation and training -Follows up with employee to be certain all training requirements have been achieved -Facilitates effective interaction with providers through provider education and problem solving activities -Manages within department budget as appropriate so as not to exceed monthly budget allocations -Communicates to manager as budget issues occur -Fills in for case managers for appropriate staff coverage -Identifies local and national trends and analyzes local patterns that impact the efficiency of manager case management services and makes recommendations for changes Required Skills: -Comprehensive and expert knowledge of the managed care referral processes -Strong analytical ability in order to complete tasks assigned, gather and interpret data from different sources and to resolve complex problems with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment -Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of staff and business-related associates -Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information -Ability to successfully utilize Microsoft Office software applications and common computer and office hardware -Ability to be tactful and to be a team player -RN (BS in Nursing preferred) or LCSW -Current Connecticut State License with a minimum of three (3) years of work-related experience in a managed care referral processing work environment We value leadership, creativity and initiative.  If you share those values and a commitment to excellence and innovation, consider a career with Aetna.How to apply   To learn more about this opportunity, visit us at http://www.aetna.com/working .
