Cardiology Technician (PRN)
JOB SUMMARY
Performs ECG’s and a variety of office procedures to patients assigned in all areas according to the hospital and department guidelines, policies and procedures. Knowledgeable in the performance of holter monitor application.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of an ECG course preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Six months experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required at hire.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Proficient in ECG technique, arrhythmia detection and cardiac anatomy. Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally with other members of the health care team. Must have the ability to build and sustain interpersonal relationships and provide friendly customer service.
