Job Description The Cardiac Intervention Unit is a 53-bed Progressive Care Unit focusing on medical cardiology and specializing in cardiac intervention cases. Our staff ratio is 1:4-5. Members of our team include, patient care techs, monitor techs, and health unit coordinators. We have a Nurse Practitioner working with us in moving our patients quickly through the discharge process. Our Education/Clinical specialist play an integral role in documenting our competency, as well as, improving our skills. Our team motto is ''What if..'' We are constantly looking at ways to provide care more effectively. Through numerous performance improvement teams in action, all team members have input into unit operations. We have a strong commitment to research and are working to establish best practices. Education is important to our team members, and they are able to take advantage of the numerous educational offerings provided by Florida Hospital. ACLS and CCRN Review are just a sample of the advanced programming available. We also have an excellent Cardiac Intervention class all new employees attend as part of their orientation/training. Full time day and night shifts available!  Requirements: Minimum 1 year recent progressive care/critical care experience required.
