From a "first aid station in a cornfield," Abington Memorial Hospital has grown to become a 570-bed, comprehensive regional health care center, serving people in Montgomery, Bucks and Philadelphia counties. More than 28,000 inpatients and over 500,000 outpatients annually are cared for by our staff and by our primary physicians in offices located throughout the area. We are the largest maternity hospital in the Delaware Valley with more than 4,500 births. Each year, almost 96,000 people are treated in our emergency trauma center (the only trauma center in Montgomery County).
