A dual role reporting to HUP CEQI &the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery to lead, manage, develop andsupport processes for internal/external reporting and Quality Improvementmeasures within the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery and CEQI. Developexpertise in methodologies of external reporting agencies such as butnot limited to: PQRI, STS, UHC, CMS, Medicare Severity DRG's,NQF, SCIP, JCAHO, PHC4, US News & World Report and Core Measures. Will oversee and manage the clinical operations of the PHC4 process and otherexternal reporting initiatives. Drive ongoing improvement processesby supplying critical evaluation and implementation strategies. Plan, develop, and implement methodology for a working collaborationwith CEQI, Hospital Medical Records, Hospital administrative teams andCardiovascular Surgery teams. Develop and evaluate quality measuresfor Cardiovascular Surgery & CEQI protocols. Plan and developeducational materials to aid Quality improvement initiatives. Must have a current PennsylvaniaRegistered Nurse Licensure. Bachelors of Science degree in Nursingrequired. Masters of Science in nursing preferred orother allied health field with experience in cardiothoracic services. Must have a minimumof 5 years of Cardiovascular Surgery nursing experience and a minimumof two years of quality assurance experience. Previous databaseexperience is preferred. Must be proficient with various types of computersprograms such as but not limited to Microsoft Applications. Databaseexperience relevant to a clinical setting preferred. Confidentialityof all HIPAA-related Personal Health Information (PHI) at all timesrequired. Knowledge of InstitutionalReview Board Policies and Procedures preferred.
