Focus

Your focus as a member of the Business Intelligence unit will be to design and implement BI solutions spanning multiple product lines, internal departments and customers. Responsibilities include design and development of Microsoft Reporting Services reports and OLAP databases to support various project initiatives.  Required:  3-5 yrs OLAP Dev. (MS Analysis Services 2005), SQL knowledge, Report Dev.  Preferred:  MS Visual Studio, ProClarity, knowledge of healthcare data.



Skills:  Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Analysis Services (or other BI software development experience), working knowledge of health care data preferred.

Your focus as a member of the Business Intelligence unit will be to research, design and implement information solutions spanning multiple product lines, internal departments and customers. Responsibilities include design and development of Microsoft Reporting Services reports and OLAP cubes to support various project initiatives and better monitoring of our business environment as well as the continued improvement of processes, technical environment, and data quality necessary to deliver highly effective solutions. Specific project assignments will be determined upon joining the team. The candidate will be expected to act independently under general direction and provide technical leadership to complex projects and continuous improvement efforts. The candidate will also be responsible for design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation. This position requires a self-motivated I individual who works well in a team environment, has EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills and a history of positive interactions with customers and peers.

 

Job Description

You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing and maintaining highly complex reporting and analytic solutions in the support of data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives. A significant portion of your responsibilities will be BI requirements and developing BI OLAP, Ad hoc and dashboarding solutions using MS Analysis Services and MS Reporting Services. Our data warehouse is undergoing substantial growth and because you will wear many hats often at the same time and on the same project and you will be an important contributor to that growth. Other Responsibilities

· Establish agreed-upon schedules of milestone delivery and project contingencies.

· Improve organizational reporting infrastructure.

· Create and assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, training materials and procedures.

· Perform other related or unrelated duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet position and/or organizational goals and objectives.

 

Required Skills

1) 3-5 years experience in application development (mostly reporting and Business Intelligence) working with SQL Server is preferred.

2) Standard database and SQL query skills, OLAP Development, Microsoft .Net development (ASP.NET, C#, and VB.NET), and some exposure to data modeling

Strong Plus: ProClarity, SQL Server Reporting Services, Cognos, HTML, XML, exposure to SQL Server 2005, experience with claims data (medical, PBM, Workers Comp)
