Business Intelligence Analyst / 774 Position Description:APS Healthcare, a company in the business of improving the healthcare needs of our participants, is seeking a professional Business Intelligence Analyst for our fast-paced, rewarding environment. A dynamic self-starting individual will play a critical role in this data-driven organization's success.The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for:• Analysis and correlation of various data sources into a cohesive central repository suitable for decision support and reporting• Development of appropriate data structures to support large volume data analysis• Generating trend analysis, statistical breakdowns, and point in time data views for internal and external reporting and real-time dashboards• Ensuring accurate, validated, and independently supportable analysis of compiled data• Conforming to development and documentation standards• Maintaining detailed understanding of the company's business processes across multiple functional areas• Maintain knowledge of several technologies utilized such as Microsoft SQL Server, Proclarity, Crystal Reports, and various decision support tools• Ability to apply data structure techniques such as Relational Data Models, Dimensional Models, Materialized Views, Partitioned Tables, etc.• Demonstrating strong communication skills, both oral and writtenEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:• A Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years work related experience OR 5 years of related work experience in clinical or healthcare related organization(s)• At least two years experience with SQL, query tools, and exposure to report writing tools is required• Medicaid knowledge is preferred• Experience with Proclarity and/or Microsoft Analysis Services is a plus• Experience with any programming language is a plusPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
