Biomedical Imaging Equipment Technician I
Job Description Imagine yourself...Performing skilled technical and advisory work in the repair, maintenance and calibration of general diagnostic (ultrasound) and/or therapeutic imaging devices or systems. In conjunction with the radiation physicist, performs quality assurance testing and calibration.
General Qualifications
Knowledge of electronic practices (preferably biomedical or in Imaging Service training), equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing an accredited associate's degree program.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience with Biomedical Equipment, which includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting experience, design and modification and/or equivalent experience with biomedical imaging, which includes digital imaging technology, and networking technology.
Certification by the International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Technology, Certification for Biomedical Equipment Technicians, and/or Certification for Radiology Equipment Specialists is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel).
Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of networking technology.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task several projects.
Excellent human relations and communications skills.
Valid state driver's license.
Use of personal vehicle for travel to various sites is required/expected.
Desired Qualifications
Ultrasound Service Training. Networking skills and knowledge of DICOM. Will train as needed.
