Biomedical Equipment Technician II

Independently, performing skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices.
General Qualifications
Knowledge of electronic practices (preferably biomedical), equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing an accredited associate's degree program.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of 2-5 years of progressively responsible experience with Biomedical Equipment, which includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting experience, design and modification.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel). Basic knowledge of networking technology.
Certification by the ICC (International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Technology), CMET (Certification for Biomedical Equipment Technicians), CRES (Certification for Radiology Equipment Specialists), and/or CLES (Certification for Clinical Laboratory Specialists) is strongly preferred.
Valid state driver's license.
Use of personal vehicle for travel to various sites is required/expected.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in laboratory diagnostic and support equipment will be considered highly desirable but will also train as needed.
