ISS Solutions, a strategic affiliate of the Geisinger Health System, provides specialized clinical engineering and information technology support solutions to health care and commercial organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region and now in the Southern States.  We are currently seeking a highly motivated, full time Field Biomedical District Manager 5 or more years experience for an exciting opportunity in the Southern States (GA, VA, NC, SC and FL).

 

Successful candidates should have a two-year associate degree program in Biomedical Equipment Technology, relevant military experience, along with five or more years of on the job training.  As a member of the ISS Solutions' team, we will provide you with a challenging work environment and an excellent benefits and compensation package.



 

Supervise and manage service technicians to ensure timely completion of all technical operations within a given geographical area.  Assure quality of service delivered through frequent client contact.  Execute the terms of client contracts. Support sales and marketing efforts. Expand services within existing clients. The District Operations Manager is responsible for monthly expense review and operational management of technical resources to meet district profit criteria.Determine what replacement or additional services from ISS might be of interest to the prospective client.Develop the client's probable rationale for wanting ISS' services: better price, discontent with current vendor, perceived higher quality services, a more comprehensive service package, etc. Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to plan promotional campaigns and specific sales tactics for the district. Support sales in forecasting and planning the likelihood of new sales, estimating the number of new clients, projected revenue, and the type of services within the district.


Ten years experience as a service representative in a health care institution or with a clinical engineering program; dealing with a variety of medical devices and patient care facility issues. A minimum of five years experience supervising technical personnel responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing clinical equipment.  Must possess an associates degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronics, or a military equivalent, additional coursework in business administration is desirable Certification by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) should be attained or an accomplished goal within one year.

Demonstrate efficient record keeping abilities, as well as verbal and written communication skills. Be able to plan, organize and develop methods for managing effectively in a complex, structural environment.  Demonstrate interpersonal skills and flexibility needed to lead and motivate district staff in order to achieve objectives.  Demonstrate resourcefulness in problem solving and display ability to make sound decisions with little supervision.  Judiciously apply current regulations, standards and codes.  Have a reliable means of transportation.

Knowledge of the healthcare community generally and short-term, acute-care hospitals particularly is necessary.  Personal characteristics should include good grooming, positive and forceful bearing, persistence, high degree of self-discipline and motivation, able and desirous to work without close supervision, persuasive, affable and personable.  Knowledge of medical equipment, including imaging devices used in radiology, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound departments, is necessary.  Equipment maintenance services is the keystone of this job and any related experience with, or training on, medical equipment is a definite plus. Computer literacy and proficiency in current operating systems and MS Office software is desirable.
