Benefits Administration Maintenance & Production Mgr
The Manager of the Maintenance and Production Support Team is responsible for developing a sustainable business support function to maintain and support Benefits Administration capabilities. The purpose is to drive an efficient and effective benefits administration maintenance and production support program that will be leveraged and used across regions, reducing overall support costs, increasing service levels for business support and consistency of support and predictable introduction of changes in content for benefits administration processes, workflow and application systems. One of our most important assets in the business is Data. Ensuring we maintain and manage our benefits data through various releases is a key objective for this organizational unit.Minimum Requirements:At least 8 years of increasingly complex work dealing with benefits administration and technical or infrastructure programs and operations, including:Required experience in managing production support or an operational support organizationExperience in managing a change control board to manage changes to the production platform assessing its impact and generating report demonstrating effectiveness of proposed the changes to the overall production performanceData analysis, requirements developmentDevelopment/Implementation of Production Support Programs documentationWebsite content developmentMajor Responsibilites:1. Delivery of benefits administration maintenance and production support programs shared with the regions and maintained to ensure stability of the benefit content, and associated application and workflow (BETS). By creating this maintenance program once, rather than duplicating this work each time in multiple regions, this will reduce overall support cost, ensure optimal maintenance and structured delivery of this core BETS capabilities across regions. 2. Establishment and on-going leadership of the Change Approval Board that will serve as the National and Cross-Regional oversight body that will govern BETS changes. This includes managing all regional and other national application requests for BETS enhancements. Manage staff required to track and partner with the BETS Technical team to execute on those changes. The team is comprised of full-time support FTEs under the direct management/administrative oversight of this position as well as majority of the team members on a matrix relationship as they are the Subject Matter Experts from the regions such as Sales, Pricing and Underwriting, and contracts and benefits that are executing on the UAT activities. Ensure timely review and action on BETS enhancements and presentation and guide resolution of recommended changes. 3. Consolidate Benefits Administration information, conduct analysis, optimize, present and introduce current practice and trends of requested changes and production performance for regions already in production as well as trends of changes identified by new deployments. 4. In addition, this position will direct the implementation team regarding maintenance and production support requirements and plan, and manage the maintenance and production support team during all implementations of BETS for deployment support to ensure the evaluation of the changes do not adversely impact our deployment dates. Develop and maintain National (non-region specific) maintenance and support benefit data/ materials on an on-going basis in response to the change management process surrounding BETS. 5. Collaboration with other national efforts to ensure integrated production support efforts facilitated across projects, and that Benefit administrative education, promotion and knowledge is provided across functions and within systems.
