Concentra seeks to hire a full time ATC for an on-site athletic training program, working in an industrial environment in Bethlehem, PA. This opportunity will be working days, Monday to Friday. This job opportunity will focus primarily on injury prevention and ergonomics but will still be doing some injury treatment. Qualified candidates will have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to be a member of a multi-disciplinary on-site team. Computer skills are required. Previous industrial experience is requested but not required.JOB SUMMARY: Performs duties in assessing, preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical injuries under the advice, consent, and prescription of a physician, in accordance with Concentra Medical Centers' Injury Process Management and Concentra Medical Centers' philosophy of rehabilitation in occupational medicine. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:'Utilize appropriate, sound and up-to-date clinical techniques for accurate evaluation, reassessment, care and management of employee injuries / concerns.'Provide on-site emergency first aid care/triage; including appropriate physician referral. 'Provide prevention and rehabilitation services.'Provide employee education in the area of injury prevention and care. 'Apply protective or injury preventive devices such as tape, bandages, or braces to body parts.'Observe employees as they perform their work duties; coach them in proper lifting technique, address safety concerns and promote better, more efficient movement patterns. 'Provide physical conditioning and wellness education programs.'Provide professional individual consultation in the areas of fitness, diet, exercise and other wellness/ healthy lifestyle concerns.'Complete all required ATC documentation and reports in a timely manner.
