Responsible for assisting the Sr. Vice President of Business Development to (1) identify and assess affiliate and program development opportunities, (2) develop and execute plans that support UPHS' short term and long term strategic goals, (3) complete programs and activities critical to achieving revenue and profit margin goals, (4) support UPHS leadership (clinical and administrative) in enhancing and advancing UPHS service line programs through integration with community partnerships, affiliations and/or recruitments and (5) partnering with internal stakeholders to identify, develop, and maintain key customer/prospect/business relationships. Area's of responsibility include affiliate relationship oversight, new program development and implementation (e.g. radiation oncology/proton therapy; Good Shepherd JV implementation, Chestnut Hill, etc) and physician recruitment coordination and support.  Direct Reports: Director, Network Affiliations; Associate Director, Program Development. MBA or equivalent is required.  Must have 5-8 years progressive and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Must possess a broad range of entrepreneurial talents and be success-driven/results-oriented.  Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and with physicians. Strong quantitative and analytical abilities are essential.  Strong project analysis, project management (multiple projects simultaneously), problem solving, brainstorming and planning skills required.  Ability to work well and thrive in a complex and fast paced work environment.  Must have excellent organization and presentation skills.  Must be able to effectively and appropriately manage confidential information and to work responsibly in a team environment and independently.  Effective influencing, negotiation, relationship-building and communication (written and verbal) skills are essential.  Demonstrated strategic thinking skills.  Understanding of hospital and physician finance reimbursement is helpful.  Experience in an academic medical center environment is a plus.
