Assistant Custodial Manager - 2nd Shift - South Central Healthcare - New Orleans, LA

Aramark Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Custodial Manager - 2nd Shift (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) to manage the housekeeping operations of a 200-bed facility.  Reporting to the Manager, the Assistant Custodial Manager - 2nd Shift, will be responsible for the planning, organizing, and developing of the operation of the housekeeping department.  Some weekend work required. Specifically, the Assistant Custodial Manager - 2nd Shift will be responsible for the following: - Manage the Environmental Services Program within the facility to maintain the highest possible standards, good public relations with all people concerns. - Manage the hiring, evaluation, training, development and disciplining of housekeeping employees on specified shift; prepare work schedules and maintain adequate staffing.  - Manage customer and client requests as pertain to department. - Inspect cleanliness of facility, sanitation and infection control; take corrective action where necessary. - Provide supportive leadership; a feeling of complete trust, security, and satisfaction through demonstrations of competence and willingness to serve. - All departmental spaces to include housekeeping supply and administrative spaces are to be kept in accordance with the ARAMARK and the facility standards of cleanliness and appearance; all equipment clean, labeled and kept in good repair. - Develop a stable, competent work force and encourage personal growth of all personnel through periodic evaluation and review. We are an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer providing a Drug Free Workplace, encouraging diversity.  We require that all ARAMARK Healthcare employees have a completed background check and drug screen on file.  To learn more about ARAMARK Healthcare, visit www.aramarkhealthcare.com.   If you're ready for an exciting and challenging career that's rewarding on so many levels, then apply now! - Minimum three (3) years of housekeeping experience to include management/supervisory experience. - Healthcare experience is preferred. - Ability to direct and motivate staff.- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships. - Working knowledge of infection control techniques. - Provide effective verbal and written communication skills, having the ability to work well with others at all levels. - Full knowledge of pertinent regulatory agencies and the policies, codes, standards, and regulations that applies to the clinical equipment in their area. - Must have detailed organization and prioritizing skills with the ability to train; teach, show and follow-up on all assignments, when necessary. - Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. - Can interpret and follow technical instructions and complete assignments timely; showing a sense of urgency.- Working knowlege of Microsoft Office applications.- Contract-managed service experience desirable.
