Area Director of Sales

As an Area Director of Sales, you will: *Direct the activities of assigned sales staff and provides sales related support to market/branch management to ensure area sales and profit targets are achieved or exceeded. *Manage, develop and train sales team and oversee their activities. Work with Sales Management to implement appropriate sales structure and prioritizes key customers in accordance with market sales plan. *Assess market and establish with management and territory staff sales strategy goals and tactics. Identify high dollar prospects within an assigned area. Prioritize accounts to comply with corporate sales plan and makes contact with appropriate management levels within client organizations. *Manage area sales personnel and activities to meet/exceed assigned sales target. *Work with Sales Management to develop and execute area specific annual strategic plan/budget and prepares quarterly sales updates to ensure achievement of established sales goals and compliance with established budgetary constraints. Manage sales time and resources according to plan. *Make sales calls on targeted managed care organizations, CareCentrix accounts and appropriate physicians/physician groups. Prepare/deliver sales presentations which effectively address clients'needs and follow up to provide additional information, answer questions, resolve outstanding issues, and close sales. *Gather/organize information on targeted accounts for use in proposal/contract pricings. Forward pricing related information to appropriate management staff to ensure consistency/profitability and track actual sales against account targets. *Work with appropriate Home Health Sales management/staff to cultivate, support and reinforce Gentiva Health Service's account agreements within assigned territory. Target insurance companies, preferred provider organizations, health maintenance organizations, and case management firms. Qualifications *Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, a health related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or the equivalent *A minimum of five years healthcare or related service industry sales experience *Broad knowledge of the insurance, case management, self-insured and managed care marketplace and marketing/sales techniques *Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, communication skills and computer literacy *Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings as required. expect more from Gentiva At Gentiva, you'll find everything you need to make the most of your career, including skilled, collaborative associates; a team-oriented approach and the resources of a national company.
