Application Developer - Web
Maintains, manages, and develops MedStar websites which involves developing consistent visual images, creating interactive tools using cold fusion, SQL Server and other web technologies. Responsible for analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of administrative, clinical and financial applications. Analyzes and evaluates current and future user requirements, procedures, and problems to develop information systems solutions including internet/intranet solutions. Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent technical experience required.Experience:Three years related experience in application development including knowledge of software development methodologies and data base administration. Knowledge of healthcare operations and data models required Skills:Strong analytical ability to solve complex technical programs. Competent in micro computing including desktop applications automation, project management, and communication/emulation applications. Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with internal/external customers. Customer service skills.Preferred Skills: SharePoint development experience using C# or VB.Net, Windows Web Services, Web Technologies (Internet/Intranet) IIS 6, .Net Framework, ASP .NET, MS Visual Studio, and XML.Physical Requirements:Visual acuity; manual dexterity and physical mobility; hear and orally communicate. Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.). Mostly sedentary work.Working Conditions: Normal working conditions. Must be willing to carry a pager/cell phone and be available for 24x7 on-call support to include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Frequency of rotation will vary depending on need/size of department.
