Analyst, Licensing, Compliance, Corporate Governance and Reporting

The Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) currently has a unique position for the experienced professional who likes to work with people and is eager to address a broad array of licensing, compliance, governance and reporting issues. This position is located at our corporate office in downtown Chicago.

Working in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, this individual will provide leadership and coordinate the:
Licensing of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield BrandsConduct ongoing compliance testing to ensure compliance with the Blue Cross Blue Shield license agreementsPreparation of corporate governance documents for the board of directors and standing committeesPreparation of divisional budgets and monitoring expenses against budget.
This individual will be responsible for developing a comprehensive knowledge of the health insurance industry. Also, this individual will act as a resource/expert on licensing requirements.

Required Basic Qualifications
A minimum of 3-5 years experience with strong skills in accounting or insurance financial operationsPrior experience in a similar role within an insurance or healthcare environment or Prior experience working with legal counsel, compliance issues, licenses and contractsComputer and database skills including Word; Excel, Access and internet applicationsStrong written communication skills and the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner 
Preferred Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline  Organizational and time management skillsPAHM certification within one year on job
