Administrative Nursing Secretary

Job Purpose:

To perform secretarial duties, record keeping functions, administrative detail and followup functions to assist the Nursing Director in meeting the nursing needs of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

 

*Assist the Nursing Director in organizing, implementing and performing of administrative procedures.

*Coordinate administrative procedures with other departments as  necessary.

*Assist in implementing and coordinating administrative policies and procedure manuals.

* Schedule appointments, process mail, answer phones, keep the Nursing Director advised of meetings, appointments, as necessary.

* Serve as liaison to the Administrator, medical staff, and other professional and supervisory staff as well as type and prepare confidential reports.
