Administrative Assistant - department of surgery
Seeking an administrative assistant to the Department of Surgery and University Surgical Associates with primary responsibility to the manager and two surgeons. Performs comprehensive secretarial duties. Works independently, receiving little detailed supervision and guidance. Thorough knowledge of computer software is required, with expertise in Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel (including creating graphs and working with formulas). Expert handling of department issues and confidentiality is mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Duties include maintaining Outlook schedules, Access database of surgical quality improvement data, transcription, making travel arrangements, and all other duties as assigned by manager. Candidate must be professional and interact with all levels of University Surgical Associates. Excellent benefits and salary commensurate with experience.
