JOB TITLE:Â Accounts Receivable Manager
SUPERVISOR: Â Practice Administrator
SUMMARY:Â Responsible for accurate and timely billing operations, accounts receivable follow-up and month end reporting.
Â
DUTIES: Charge entry. Ensures accurate coding and timely turn around of all office and inpatient charges. Ensures all charges are accounted for on a monthly basis. Claims processing. Daily submission of electronic claims. Reviews EDI Manager Report and works rejections. Ensures submission of paper claims . Generates patient statements on a monthly basis. Works patient collection reports. Trouble shoots patient inquiries. Payment Posting. Ensures timely and accurate posting of all insurance and patient payments. Reviews incoming correspondence and works as needed. Maintains accurate filing system for timely follow up. Claims follow up. Review AR reports; works accounts and ensures timely follow up. Consistently documents action taken on the account within the computer system. Accountable for generating month end close in practice management system. Completes month end AR analysis reports and maintains balancing procedures. Responsible for continuing education of coding and insurance related industry changes. Supervises any billing assistants. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Â
 Knowledge of and experience working with Medicare/Medicaid, Managed Care, and 3rd Party payers. Knowledge of and experience with ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC codes. Medical terminology. Ability to problem-solve and detail oriented.
