ACUTE CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER

Job Summary: Position responsible for providing patient care through comprehensive assessment skills, diagnostic ability, assessment and intervention of complex systems, ability to critically analyze research findings, leadership, and cooperation and collaboration with other disciplines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Registered nurse currently licensed in the State of Texas.
Advanced Nurse Practitioner currently registered with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners BNE . experience with Acute Care/Trauma or
Experience with Pediatric care
Certified in ACLS at time of employment or within one calendar year of employment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs complete physical exams and assessments of pediatric patients. Provides patient care services according to written protocol with  This includes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and interpretation of data and diagnostic results. Ensures safe care to patients adhering to applicable policies, procedures, and standards of care.
Maintains accountability for patient, assuring that patient care is complete according to the age/needs of the patient/population served identifies and utilizes available resources to resolve any problems.
Participates in process improvement and interdisciplinary clinical outcome improvement activities utilizing advanced nursing expertise.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency.
Collaborates in, or conduct, research, as needed
