Company Profile: Public Health Solutions is a nonprofit organization that develops, implements and advocates dynamic solutions to prevent disease and improve community health. We conduct comprehensive research providing insight on public health issues, create and manage community health programs, and provide services to organizations to address public health challenges. Programs of Public Health Solutions address critical public health needs such as maternal and child health, nutrition, access to health insurance, HIV prevention and care, and smoking cessation. We were founded in 1957 under the name Medical and Health Research Association of New York City to enable the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and other organizations to conduct health research to inform their work. Today, as Public Health Solutions, we use research wherever we can to help illuminate critical public health issues and to design, implement and assess effective methods for preventing disease and improving health in New York City and beyond. Job Description & Experience: Responsibilities: ' Performs receptionist duties which include but are not limited to greeting patients, answering the telephone and assisting patients seeking service related information ' Utilizes the computer to perform related functions, which include but are not limited to generating encounter forms, labels, entering and updating demographic information and scheduling appointments ' Determines eligibility and assists patients in the enrollment process for PCAP, Medicaid and other third party payers ' Maintains medical charts, which includes but is not limited to preparing, duplicating, updating, retrieving and filing of lab and other reports ' Assists with general office (such as copying and faxing) and interoffice duties Qualifications: ' Bilingual-Spanish ' HS Diploma ' 2 Years of experience ' Reception experience preferred For more information about working at Public Health Solutions and to apply for this position, visit our website at www.healthsolutions.org We accept online applications only.
