5187 Network Administrator with Health Insurance

Our client is looking for a Network Administrator to assist in a project that they have slated until early in 2010.  These candidates would be brought in initially on a contract basis and then converted to a permanent position after 6-12 months.  Candidates will require extensive travel for the first 6-12 months of the contract

Responsibilities:
 
- Works with others in the development of CISCO-based systems in support of the operational transition.
- Provides daily operational support for the company's distributed networking equipment to include routers and switches for the data center and distributed facilities.
- Designs, installs and configures CISCO networking equipment.
- Detect, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair system problems.
- Responds to and resolves problems associated with network connectivity.
- Ensures servers are appropriately configured to meet the business needs of the company and are in compliance with directives.
- Responds to requests for assistance from other IT areas and business partners.
- Maintains expert level knowledge of network operating systems and hardware in use within the company.
- Monitors system performance and capacity, conducts research and advises management when changes to systems are needed.
- Works with IT colleagues to plan and implement system changes, and coordinates activities with end users.


Job Qualifications:

-  Cisco hardware
-  CCNA or CCNE required
-  Healthcare insurance experience required
-  Must be available for extensive travel
