Zoning & Code Compliance Officer

Manheim Borough, Lancaster County is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Zoning, Code and Planning Official.  The successful candidate will serve as the assistant to the Borough Manager in addition to being the Borough’s designated official for the administration and enforcement of Zoning Ordinances and other Borough Codes.  Knowledge of property maintenance codes, zoning ordinance procedures and certification as a Building Code Official are desired.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of zoning / code and planning operation: administration, inspection compliance and enforcement, including actions before the District Judge, as well as, maintenance of related records.  Additional duties include:  apartment inspections, floodplain administration, curb and sidewalk/street opening permits, historic preservation and coordination with the planning and subdivision / land development process.  The successful candidate will possess professional written and oral communication skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office, as well as knowledge of GIS.  Salary is negotiable depending on experience.  Send resume with salary requirements to Manheim Borough, 15 E.
