Windows and Open Enterprise Systems Engineer – LGT #301
$30.46 to $45.69/hour

Member of a seven person team responsible for the designing, managing and troubleshooting a network of Novell OES and Windows servers, storage and peripheral equipment including all phases of network support of file, print  and application servers, software and users. Plan and coordinate a stable, efficient, and standardized Novell and Windows client environment, including server and eDirectory design, configuration, and delivery of file, print  and application services to users and Windows XP workstations.  Design and configure backup and disaster recovery services.  Protect the safety, integrity, and privacy of data.  Design, install and maintain an enterprise network of file, application, database, web and disaster recovery servers and storage.  Lead or participate in IT operations and application projects.

 

Required qualifications include the equivalent of an Associate degree in Computer Science or Computer Technology or a closely related field, three years of progressively responsible experience in Novell and Windows system administration, design, installation and configuration in a large, complex development and production environment, at least 2 of those 3 years with Netware 6.x and Windows 2003 user and server administration and support experience, experience installing, configuring and maintaining server and storage hardware and software, and must have extensive experience in  scripts/programming  and automated desktop software installations.  Have high-level problem solving skills and customer service skills.

 

Desired qualifications include a Bachelors degree in a related field, CNE or MCSE certification, managed workstations and software deployments using  Zen For Dekstops, experience configuring and managing TCP/IP, SLP, eDirectory and  server clusters, experience designing, installing and managing VMWare or Linux OES server environments, and experience supporting EMC Clariion Storage Area Networks.  Experience supporting server systems running  SQL database server.  Experience working in a multi-OS environment that includes Windows, NetWare and Windows XP clients.  Ability to work in teams with multiple priorities.
