The candidate will provide Windows XP managed desktop system support in an engineering / design environment providing hardware and software setup and configuration as well as to act as liaison between the Facility Services organization and the Information Services Department. In this capacity, the candidate will respond to and evaluate users issues and resolve or identify and elevate problems for resolution. The candidate will assist in the development of new enterprise applications and assist in the maintenance of existing applications as well as contribute to developing internal tools and collaborating on process enhancements to increase the effectiveness of the automation support function. The candidate will also provide assistance in the design and implementation of audio visual systems and participate in the development of standards for A/V installations throughout the facility. Other duties and responsibilities will include participation in analysis, design and development of engineering applications and upgrades. Provide database maintenance, reporting and cross-application data processing. Assist in development of presentations and communications. RequiredExperience in an applications development environment required.11+ Years with HS or 7+ Years with AA or 5+ Years with BS or 2+ Years with MS or 0+ Years with PhDBS in computer science or related field or relevant work experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Demonstrated programming, systems and business analysis skills are also required.DesiredExperience involving relational databases, such as MS access or Oracle. Experience or interest in development of windows and web based applications.Some A/V experience is desirable. SAP BW/PM experience a plus.
