Ultrasound Technologist

ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST WANTED!!!!Onward Healthcare, Government Services Division is looking for an Ultrasound Technologist.  This position is full time, Monday-Friday with no on-call required.  The position is for a 13 week contract with a possible option to extend for up to 6 months.  Requirements:
ARDMS registered

Current CPR

Skills required (but not limited to):

-Sets up ultrasound scanner with proper transducers and probes for specific ultrasound procedures

-Reviews chart for appropriate orders and signed consents.  Performs pre-exam patient assessment, checks and deploys monitoring equipment as necessary.

-Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures of the major and minor organs and systems of the human body utilizing appropriate patient positioning, technique factors, prescribed filming sequesces and all post processing of images.

-Equipment operation and quality control.  The equipment includes:

-GE LogiQ 9 Scanner

-ATL 5000 Scanner

-Typical exams/procedures include, but are not limited to:

-Retroperitoneal

-Abdomen

-Extremities(duplex)

-Scrotum/testicular
