GS provides combat vehicle systems in major vehicle families - Bradley, M88, AAV, M113, M109 and M9 - that fulfill more than 20 different current force mission roles. As military forces confront threats around the world, GS is supporting the current force with vital enhancements to existing systems and offering new solutions to rapidly meet essential customer needs. As a key member of the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) Team, GS will help ensure the future success of U.S. soldiers on the battlefield developing and demonstrating five Manned Ground Vehicles that are part of the family of systems for FCS, including support for the Non-Line-of-Sight Cannon in 2008. GS fulfils another key role on FCS as the developer of the Armed Robotic Vehicle in two variants. These critical weapons will be the first in a new line of combat vehicles and systems that will empower soldiers through unmatched firepower, situational awareness and survivability. GS is also developing and delivering integrated survivability technologies from body armor inserts to active protection systems that provide a new level of soldier survivability and combat vehicle performance. Responsible for developing and conducting training courses for employees in process related subjects. Interfaces with project and functional organizations to develop content of courses and/or organize required training needs. Provide leadership in determining and planning training program direction and develop training plans based on project and organization needs and requirements. Report training status quantitatively at project and organization level to management on a regular basis. May lead or supervise others. May be required to act in management capacity. Identifies, defines, and resolves problems in differing and complex situations involving conflicting policy and technical requirements across functional areas. Conduct evaluation of the training program and industry trends and methods using statistical methods and Kirkpatrick Levels of Evaluation to determine root causes of trends and events. Based on root-cause analyses, recommend plans and methods to improve training program including course materials, instructors, method of delivery. Ensures that implementation of training program initiatives are carried out to ensure that results meet expectations of planning and that performance and quality, including LCM, SEI CMMI and ISO requirements are met. Ensure personnel fully trained for their position. Ensure training is provided just in time to save time and cost. Work with domain experts, project and organizational groups to develop/document training materials. Provides guidance to individuals tasked with developing and providing training or support to the training group. Ensures outcomes are consistent with established principles and practices and that performance and quality requirements are met. Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions and follows up to determine applicability of course material and effectiveness of the delivered training. Acts as mentor for lower level training positions. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry, profession, and organization practices, trends, and applications. Advises management on new developments; recommends adoption or integration of mandated or necessary or beneficial practices. Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies. Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor. Position requires Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of related experience or Master's Degree and 7 years of related experience. Prefer Five or more years experience in development and delivery of training material to professionals. Experience in planning (budget and schedule) and executing multiple tasks.
