Engineer needed with extensive knowledge of CMMI. Applicant would act as a Branch representative working as part of a Divisional team, planning and developing processes with the goal of achieving CMMI level 3 certification. Applicant would take resulting Division processes and lead the Branch through process rollout, audits, and corrections. CMMI effort would be a good portion of the work load. The remaining effort would include various engineering projects to support Navy IFF equipment. Applicant would apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapon systems and provide support to hardware and software development tasking involving system design and feasibility evaluation, system integration, field service analysis, and installation testing and evaluation of CID, ECMS, ATC equipment, systems and subsystems. Applicant must have strong leadership and project management skills, be able to delegate work, and juggle multiple tasks. Applicant must have strong communication, people, and organizational skills to coordinate at various levels in the Division and Branch. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. **IMPORTANT NOTE -Your chances of being considered will greatly increase if you have ensured all the below requirements are addressed in your resume.** Must have: Bachelors or Masters degree in Software, Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline Minimum of 8 years system engineering experience Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience Experience in CMMI process improvement and implementation Experience in CMMI assessment and appraisals Experience managing risk and maintaining team metrics Eligibility for Secret Security Clearance Background with Identify Friend or Foe (IFF), specifically for shipboard and aircraft applications, including legacy Mark XII and Mark XIIA (Mode 5/S) Preferences: Radio Frequency (RF) experience a plus. Ability to program. Experience in system, digital, and/or software design Active Secret Security Clearance Development of systems for shipboard applications Experience with ProcessMax Completed Level I Defense Acquisition University courses in SPRDE (System Planning, Research, Development and Engineering) Some Level 2 DAU course completion desired Completed course(s) in CMMI People are the greatest asset in any Company ...
