General Summary

This position is under the general direction of the Barona Gaming Commission and reports directly to the Surveillance Supervisor. The position assures operational and departmental compliance to all relevant Minimum Internal Control Standards and requires the operation of surveillance equipment for the purpose of safeguarding the assets of the Barona Tribe, and for the safety and protection of guests and staff.

 

Essential job Functions

1.  Observes Casino operations for adherence to current policies and procedures

2.  Carefully observes table games activity for unusual or illegal activities

3.  Performs daily inspection of all Surveillance equipment to ensure it is operational

4.  Reports any equipment in need of repairs to his/her immediate supervisor

5.  Maintain current familiarity with Surveillance policies and procedures

6.  Maintain current familiarity with policies and procedures of other departments

7.  Maintain cleanliness of surveillance room and equipment

8.  Maintain a Daily Activities Report (DAR) of all pertinent activities on Casino property

9.  Keep confidential all matters concerning Surveillance, its operations and investigations

10.  Performs assigned duties in a concise and timely manner

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ø Must be able to sit for long periods of time

Ø Must be able to work in a cool temperature controlled environment

Ø Must be able to read small characters on computer monitors/video monitors in dimly lit conditions

Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ø Working knowledge of DVD/CD Burning software, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel

Ø Basic knowledge of Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Casino War, Baccarat and poker style games

Ø Basic knowledge of Slot Machines

Ø Basic math and analytical skills

 

Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED
