GS is committed to force protection, from the current force to the future force, and from vehicle systems to individual soldiers. GS provides combat vehicle systems in major vehicle families - Bradley, M88, AAV, M113, M109 and M9 - that fulfill more than 20 different current force mission roles. As military forces confront threats around the world, GS is supporting the current force with vital enhancements to existing systems and offering new solutions to rapidly meet essential customer needs. As a key member of the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) Team, GS will help ensure the future success of U.S. soldiers on the battlefield developing and demonstrating five Manned Ground Vehicles that are part of the family of systems for FCS, including support for the Non-Line-of-Sight Cannon in 2008. GS fulfils another key role on FCS as the developer of the Armed Robotic Vehicle in two variants. These critical weapons will be the first in a new line of combat vehicles and systems that will empower soldiers through unmatched firepower, situational awareness and survivability. GS is also developing and delivering integrated survivability technologies from body armor inserts to active protection systems that provide a new level of soldier survivability and combat vehicle performance. Job Summary: The Security Operations Supervisor protects BAE Systems employees, property and information from injury or loss, and protects Government classified information from loss or compromise, by selecting, training, scheduling and supervising the proprietary and contract security officers, and by administration of all aspects of shift operations. End Results ? Safety and Security of employees and property is ensured. ? Access control, property control, and enforcement of Company, Security and Safety policies reduce loss of BAE Systems assets and/or prevent claims against BAE Systems. ? Proprietary and contract Security Officers are properly selected, trained, and supervised. ? Security Officers are efficiently scheduled to provide adequate security coverage at all times to meet business needs within budget. ? The Security department remains within budget. ? The cost-benefit ratio of fixed security posts and contract security staffing meets both business need and budget. ? Emergencies, incidents and security discrepancies receive prompt and effective response, timely notifications are made to affected departments and management, and prompt and accurate reports are submitted and distributed to the proper persons in a timely manner. ? Security Policies, Procedures, Standard Practices and Desktop procedures are comprehensive and up-to-date, and are communicated to employees and visitors to promote voluntary compliance. ? Classified information is protected to help ensure retention of Government contracts. ? Export Control requirements involving visits by Foreign Nationals are followed and met. ? Coordination with other departments ensures that special events and other business needs are met without compromising security to further the common good of the Company. Years Experience: 5Education Required: 4yr Degree Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Operations ? Know, understand, explain, apply and enforce all Security, Safety and Company policies and procedures regarding access control, foreign visitor control, plant visitor control, camera control, property control, parking control, scrap sales, media inquiries, safety, company vehicles, vehicle accident reporting and other security related matters. ? Coordinate with Export Compliance and visit hosts to ensure Export Control regulations and procedures are applied to all employees, applicants, contractors and visitors. Ensure all officers, receptionists and designated receptionists are familiar with and adhere to Export Control procedures. Ensure all visits by foreign nationals comply with ITAR and NISPOM. ? Schedule proprietary Security Officers and Receptionists to ensure adequate security coverage to meet business needs for three shifts, seven days a week, allowing for vacations, holidays, sick leave and staffing shortages, with minimal use of overtime, while maintaining morale. Coordinate vacations for Security Department to ensure adequate coverage. ? Schedule and coordinate all required training and communications meetings for Security Department with minimal use of overtime. Conduct required training for Security personnel when shift schedules preclude attendance at regularly scheduled training sessions. ? Schedule and train designated receptionists in access control procedures. ?
