Statewide Transportation Improvement(STIP) Coordinator

The Oregon Department of Transportation was established in 1969 to provide a safe, efficient transportation system that supports economic opportunity and livable communities for Oregonians. ODOT develops programs related to Oregon's system of highways, roads, and bridges; railways; public transportation services; transportation safety programs; driver and vehicle licensing; and motor carrier regulation.
Statewide Transportation Improvement Program(STIP) Coordinator
The Statewide Transportation Improvement Program Coordinator analyzes Statewide Transportation Improvement Program goals and objectives; helps determine priorities and directions; identifies and solves operational problems; and develops process solutions. The STIP Coordinator also assists internal agency staff and external organizations in revising or creating their own polices and procedures that meet state and federal funding requirements. The salary range is $3456-$5104/month. This position is located in La Grande.
As a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program Coordinator you will:
Evaluate overall region financial assets; including budget, positions, and the STIP program and develop program priorities and strategies to achieve statewide program goals and objectives.
STIP Development Provide functional direction and guide agency staff and members from other organizations in the development of the complex Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
Financial Plan Management Develop procedures to manage Region 5's Financial Plan. Analyze cash flow and the resultant changes to the Financial Plan.
Project Delivery Support Provide professional level support in the management and delivery within the Project Delivery Business Line.
Budget Coordination Coordinate development, management and monitoring of the Project Delivery Administrative/Indirect Budget and the Federal Highway Administration's State Planning and Research (SPR) STIP Development Budget for Region 5. For a full position description, go to www.odotjobs.com .
Position Qualifications include: A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work regarding business processes(such as budget, financial, project coordination) OR Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work regarding businesses processes(such as budget, financial, project coordination).
