Please go to the Job section and “inquire.” thank you!This position is responsible for effectively managing select Major Subcontractors in a fast-paced, complex, Fixed Price Incentive Fee environment. Is the lead subcontract specialist on a complex $100M+ Subcontract for production of mission-critical equipment used in a DoD program. Requires daily management of all non-technical aspects of the Subcontract to ensure cost and schedule requirements are met. Works closely with supporting organizations including the Program Management Office, Contracts, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Data Management and Integrated Logistics Support.Duties:Research and select qualified suppliers. Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for subcontractor support. Evaluate subcontractor technical and pricing input. Personally develop negotiation strategies. Successfully negotiate complex fixed-price and cost-type subcontracts. Articulate negotiation positions and lead discussions under high pressure while interacting with all levels of internal and external organizations. Finalize subcontract language, terms and conditions, cost/price, deliverables, and schedule requirements. Manage subcontractor performance to contract requirements during program execution. Execute subcontract modifications. Analyze engineering change proposals (ECPs) submitted by subcontractors during program performance and work with technical program staff to determine appropriate responses/actions. Ensure successful subcontractor completion of all subcontract requirements. Accomplish subcontract close-out.
· Some travel is required.
Specific Qualifications: · BS in business or related field.
· 8+ years of progressively responsible subcontracts administration experience supporting large DoD programs.
· Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and other applicable regulations required.
· Skill in effectively communicating both orally and in writing with all levels of management both internal and external to L-3.
· Experience providing subcontract management support to production programs a plus.
· Experience with Deltek and Costpoint preferred.
