Sr. Developer Analyst
DSHS IT requires the services of this worker in order to re-write two file transfer utility programs. The goal is to upgrade the programming language and integrate the programs using VB.NET running in a Windows 2003 Server environment. Server access will be through Active Directory and files will be transferred via secure protocols. User input and control will be through a web interface and system logging will be to a MS SQL database. The worker should be able to translate existing methodology, work with a team to develop a standardized file transfer program, document the process, and test the system. [Note: The existing applications are written in MicroFocus COBOL 4DOS and FoxPro; system logs use a FoxPro database; the network environment is Novell.]
