Sr. Current Operations Planner

Overview
Capstone's Military / Civil Operations division is currently seeking a motivated and talented individual with the knowledge, skills, and experience for the Senior Current Operations Planner located in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities
-Provides services to respective Current Operations section and interfaces with their respective training and exercises sections in support of their mission to develop, review, and revise doctrine, policies, and plans that enable the Commander to execute his mission ashore.
-Provides regional COPS section with experience in developing Navy doctrine, policy and plans in a command and control environment.
-Assists in the development of regional doctrine, policy and plans architecture for the regional FOPS section using the Navy's standard doctrine, policy and planning procedures with strong linkages to NMETLs, DRRS-N, and DOTMLPF architecture.
-Supports regional development of emergency management plans for federal and state entities.
-Supports the development and execution of workshops and training for Regional Command (REGCOM) staffs to enable continued maturation of CNIC's C3P Ashore. This includes the planning and facilitation of Operational Planning Group (OPG) TTX (Table Top Exercises) related to the continued development and maturation of the AHP.
-Implements and updates the ROC's Training and Certification Program that specifies requirements for initial certification and semi-annual recertification.
-Publishes and updates Battle Drills for all required ROC tasks.
-Supports CNIC training and exercise events requiring ROC/ISC involvement.
-Introduces Battle Drills into training and MSEL to exercise and evaluate ROC/ISC performance.
-Supports exercise programs as required, including: attending planning meetings, developing Master Scenario Events Lists, developing synchronization matrices, serving as an observer/controller, conducting After Action Reviews, developing Lessons Learned Logs /materials, and corrective action measures.
-Develops and conducts training on new capabilities and processes.

-Serves as the interface liaison between N-3 and N-7.

Qualifications
-15 years experience in supporting contingency (deliberate) and Crisis Action Planning with at least six years of experience in a Joint or Naval organization (Joint Task Force, Combatant Command, CJCS, OSD, or Navy Regional Command or higher).
 
-Familiar with current standards of planning doctrines, documents, products and processes. Ability to advise and assist senior military and civilian officials (3-Star) with minimal supervision.
 
-Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Senior Service School, and School of Advanced Military Studies or equivalent is a plus.
 
-Active Secret Security clearance required.
