  Configuration Management Requirements Job Duties   Assist the client in accomplishing the following activities: § Provide control of systems, applications and software, hardware, and networks as required for baseline management, system testing, integration and deployment. § Develop and implement plans, processes, and procedures that improve and compliment the Change, Configuration and Release Management activities.  § Assist in developing and implementing plans for applying patches, upgrading versions, moving to new releases, and transitioning to replacements of the designated production software. § Assist in developing and maintaining the Configuration Management Plan. § Provide support and assistance to the BLM for software license management. § Assist in defining and implementing a system for managing the hardware and software inventory. §  Assist in management and oversight of the Change Control Board   Experience   § Minimum of six years experience working in a software development or IT production environment, with at least three years supporting configuration management functions. § Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining configuration management procedures for controlling computer software and hardware and hardware assets.   Skills   § Software engineering skills for defining and refining the software environment in support of IT business architectures. § Software engineering skills for the use of CM software to support the production environment. § Excellent verbal and written communication skills. § Working knowledge of the following tools is preferred: o Lotus Notes o Internet Explorer o MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) o Remedy Incident Manager (for ticket processing) o Windows and Windows File Shares o MS Sharepoint as a user   Education and Certifications   § BA/BS degree in IT related field preferred. ITIL/ISM background/certification is a plus  Minimum of six years experience working in a software development or IT production environment, with at least three years supporting configuration management functions. § Experience developing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining configuration management procedures for controlling computer software and hardware and hardware assets.     BA/BS degree in IT related field preferred.ITIL/ISM background/certification is a plus   CIBER, Inc.
