Software Engineer

Job Summary: Software configuration management of embedded real-time software development experience on various mircoprocessors/microcontrollers and various integrated development environment (IDEs). Experience with MIL-STD or CMMI is a plus; Understanding and experience of software documentation structure and change requests management; Understanding and experience of software change control boards; Experience and understanding of software metrics; Experience as an administrator of a software configuration management tool, such as StarTeam a plus. Requirements: Hands-on experience as a software configuration management of real-time embedded systems;Experience with StarTeam a plus; Understanding ofSoftware Configuration Management Engineering principles, with emphasis on design, code and software configuration management skills required; Willing to travel approximately 5%; Must have or qualify for DoD Secret Clearance; CMMI experience a plus; BS or BA Computer Science, or Software Enginneer. Technical Skills: Must have solid understanding of embedded software development; Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to perform effectively in a team environment; Follow direction and communicate understanding of those directions.Proactively seek clarification when required; Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in reporting technical details and status concisely and accurately to Engineering Manager; Familiarity with and commitment to software process discipline; Familiarity with software change requests and metrics.
