BAE Systems seeks a highly motivated, disciplined, reliable, and hardworking software developer with 0 to 2 years of experience in software design and development to support DoD contracts. The primary responsibilities of this individual would include software development in the C and C++ programming languages (in the VxWorks real-time environment), verification and validation testing, problem resolution, and troubleshooting using lab equipment and test tools. The ideal candidate shall be knowledgeable about the software development life-cycle (SDLC) and be able to adhere to coding standards and use configuration management tools. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
