Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist

Altarum Institute is pleased to announce an opening for a Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist. The successful candidate will serve as a key manager for one of our strategic clients and will be primarily responsible for directing current projects and expanding our presence. This position requires a significant amount of time to be spent interacting with client stakeholders and directing projects at the client’s offices. • Candidate will be the primary interface between Altarum’s Revenue Cycle (RCM) Practice Area and the client and will either directly manage or support the management of several projects with this particular client. • Candidate will be responsible for developing project plans and resources estimates, monitoring and tracking project execution and ensuring budgets and timelines are met. • Candidate must quickly understand the client’s business process governing revenue cycle activities, if not already known, to help organize and execute project activities. Existing deliverables, process and policy documentation and other support resources will be provided upon candidate’s selection. • Candidate will provide general revenue cycle management subject matter expertise to project team and direct day-to-day project activities accordingly. Additionally, candidate will be responsible for providing supporting to other projects, as directed by practice area leadership. • Candidate will present all project deliverables and findings to senior client stakeholders and practice area leadership, as required. • Candidate will report project progress and assess project risks to practice area and division leadership monthly. • Candidate will be responsible for the quality of all deliverables produced under assigned contracts and will supplement efforts of team members to ensure quality standards are exceeded. • Candidate will be required to lead formal proposal efforts assigned based upon demonstrated subject matter and client expertise. • Candidate must be able to routinely assess client needs, match them with Altarum and RCM capabilities, develop innovative solutions (including white papers) and articulately present these solutions to the client. • Candidate will be responsible for general marketing of the RCM practice to other potential clients - both Federal and Commercial – and will also be required to participate in vendor exhibitions at professional conferences. Prospective candidate for this position must possess the following: • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field. • 15 years of professional revenue cycle experience. • Experience leading large projects, preferably in a consulting environment. • Ability to succeed in a dynamic environment and produce deliverables in tight timeframes and constant pressure. • Working knowledge of the revenue cycle to include the access management, medical management and patient financial services functional domains. • Willingness to travel in support of project and business development initiatives.
