BAE Systems is looking for a Senior Planner to support the Advanced Technologies business area located in Manassas Park VA & Reston, VA supporting the L-Rod program. The qualified Senior Planner will: ? Implement, coordinate, execute and monitor material & production plans and schedules to ensure products are completed within specified delivery and budget requirements. ? Investigate and analyze schedule deviation and cost impacts to the program and take corrective action as required. ? Manage capacity planning of production machinery, tools, manpower, etc. and level loading of the various programs or product lines in production. ? Interface with support personnel to ensure proper documentation and implementation of all engineering changes, changes to routing/revisions on route cards. ? Ensure the assembly floor has the correct paper work (route cards/kit list/drawings/processes) to build the L-Rod kit. ? Prepare charts, graphs and reports outlining program status against schedule. Presents program status information to management and other appropriate personnel (i.e. OPM, Directors, Program Office, etc.). ? Review material plans for the appropriate quantity of bulk kits, raw stock and as required material in support of the manufacturing schedule. ? Develop alternative plans that will ensure required materials are available when needed. ? Analyze various reports to ensure Company inventory systems are accurate and properly maintained. ? Assist in providing product completion data to accounting and the program office. ? Review and approve manufacturing orders and commitment dates to ensure assigned delivery dates are valid and justifiable. ? Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge by keeping abreast of the latest techniques and methods. ? Demonstrate competency in Material Management Account System (MMAS) requirements. 1. Bachelors Degree or a minimum of ten (10) years experience in production/material control or a manufacturing planning environment; and the ability to learn Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and configuration systems; inventory; shop floor; and production planning techniques. 2. Ability to interpret engineering drawings. 3. Advanced computer experience including proficient use of various software packages for analyses and reporting. 4. Previous hardware experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Production Control. 5. Strong leadership and self motivational skills; ability to work independently with minimal direction. 6. Basic understanding of Top Level Flows and effects of WIP transactions on material requirements. 7. Broad knowledge of the support groups that will require daily interface. 1. Certification in any/all of the following: National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM), Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) and American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certified in Production and Inventory Management (C.P.I.M.). 2.
