For more information, visit www.saic.com SAIC: From Science to Solutions® The Senior Internal Control Specialist will report directly to the SOX 404 Sr. Manager of Internal Controls Compliance, and will work closely with the SOX PMO team and Internal Audit. Responsibilities will include working with the PMO team, Corporate Departments, and Business Units (BUs) in support of improving and streamlining projects for SOX PMO, evaluating operating deficiencies identified during testing and working with the team to correct deficiencies. The Sr. Internal Control Specialist will assist in the day to day operation of the PMO department including special project assignments, maintenance of the Self Assessment Program, on-going training, accumulating and updating internal control documentation, and continued evaluation of operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting. The position will be very challenging and provide great opportunities to gain exposure to all areas of the business and the financial statements, and interface with professionals from all areas of SAIC. Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting or related field. CPA or MBA strongly preferred. Required Skills: Minimum 3 years Big 4 Public Accounting experience, or 6+ years of related experience and a strong background in accounting required. Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and leadership skills. Must have the ability to deal with multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
