Senior Contracts Administrator

The Senior Contract Administrator is a headquarters position responsible for the day to day contract administration of assigned contracts. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
·  Communicate contracts administration policy and practice to internal business teams. 
·  Ensure procurement and contractual reviews, approvals and execution is in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
· Provide independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution. 
·  Prepare and issue solicitations, bids and proposal, analyze terms and conditions and procurement requirements, assess supplier capabilities, determine pricing arrangements, negotiation, administer, and award purchase orders and subcontracts. 
·  Participate in development of less complex business alliances and partnering agreements.
·  Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedure. 
·  Draft standard contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines. Prepare and administers contractual correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and procurement and contract/subcontract administration documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal. 
·  Prepare, organize and maintain contractual records and files documenting contract performance and compliance. 
·  Support purchasing and contract audits.
·  Perform contract closeout activities. 
·  Assist senior contract professionals in working with internal or external business teams on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts.
·  Analyze new law, regulation and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives. 
·  Assist in identification, development and implementation of new contract policy and processes. 
·  Assist the director in the management of the company’s policies, procedures, and processes for overall company contact administration in meeting and improving company standard operating procedures under ISO 9001:2000.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Education Requirements: 
·  Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5 years business or related experience. Alternatively, 8+ years business experience may be substituted for education.
·  Active member of an association applicable to the specialty of the division, such as the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
·  Have a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications. 
·  Ability to apply independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution and creativity applied to resolution of contract issues. 
·  Ability to see and use the big picture for greater organizational and personal success, including the ability to be successful leader and team member. 
·  Good presentation, organizational and leadership skills.
·  Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) is highly desirable.
