Senior Buyer
Education Desired: BA/BS in Business Administration
Essential Job Functions: Procurement of various services and goods and capital equipment for HRL. Must be able to purchase multiple types of goods and services, such as hazardous materials, electronic wafers, technical or administrative services, etc. Must be able to locate and research small, disadvantaged, woman owned, etc. business to place orders with to meet government contracting requirements.
Experience Desired: Five to ten years in aerospace procurement, experience with various types of purchases. Experience with highly technical types of goods (wafers, test equipment, etc.) is desirable.
Knowledge Desired: UCC, general procurement regulation, and industry standards and best practices. Knowledge of an integrated computer/financial/procurement system such as CostPoint is desirable.
Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements: Good phone and computer skills. Must have good phone etiquette and be service oriented. Must have good writing ability.
Special Requirements: U.S. citizen or permanent resident status required.
