Security Engineer

Security Engineer - US Citizen, location is Washington DC.

Security Engineering, specifically Vulnerability scans and system hardening. 

 

Responsibilities:

Provide technical security support for enterprise level IT security program: Implement and/or operate security software, perform vulnerability scans, system hardening, and conduct intrusion detection/prevention analysis (IDS/IPS) Evaluate technical security baseline configurations (servers, routers, firewalls). Support incident response and forensics. Document processes and procedures.



Qualifications: BS in Computer Information Systems or equivalent experience. Over 5 years of IT systems security experience Three years experience conducting vulnerability scans. Support incident response and forensics. Test technical security baseline configurations. Strong understanding of networking protocols. Hands-on experience using vulnerability scanning tools. Three years experience writing detailed procedures and reports.

CISSP or SANS Certification desired but not required
